Under Aegis of Tengri
21 – 24 March 2018, Hold Me Now–Feel and Touch in an Unreal World, Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, NLTouching upon sources and topics of Mongolian heritage in contrast to a European upbringing, Nomin Zezegmaa explores the physical and tactile qualities of materials in relation to the body, the non-human, and the mind. The core of the work is the Mongolian traditional garment, the deel, triggered by its wide array of function and use. The essential aspect of this garment is its implementation in shamanic rituals.
